I'm Catholic, but...

I say "Yaaayyyyyy!", anyway.

Go, Canada!

Now we sit back and wait (and wait, and wait) for it to happen here.

It used to be "God Save the Queen," but since their independence I don't know what it is. I'll ask my chillens. They know EVERYTHING.

O Canada!

O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

it scares me to think that people would be ok with changing our national anthem, for gay marriage.

It just does.... sure we aren't out to defame st8 marriage...being gay... but when do we respect what our country has to offer, and where did our patriotism go?

Dear M-- I'm more than certain non-linear did NOT mean what I think you've mistakenly thought she meant. I'm sure she meant we could admire Canada for what that country does for its citizens that ours won't do. Learning their national anthem would be giving them an honor-- how many national anthems do you know besides your own? She's GLAD, for Pete's sake!Write again when you're in a better mood. Your spirit needs lightening, and maybe a cup of coffee.
